about me

My name is Fiona, and this blog with a (book)worm as its mascot will mostly focus on my creative writing, academic work, and book reviews, some extended and expanded upon from my Instagram, @literacyrocks. My book reviews and ruminations will mostly focus on post 18th century classics, contemporary romance and fiction, literary fiction, as well as non-fiction such as memoir and self-improvement. Creatively, I write vignettes, personal essays, semi-fiction, generally all reflecting on my life experiences. 

This blog is also a homage to my younger self and way for me to go back to my roots; I had a blog when I was fourteen for my creative writing as well, albeit with far less success. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunities I've had to take courses to study literature and writing in my higher education and ability to share my academic work alongside my recreational writing. It's been a long journey, I've been writing creatively since I was twelve, and have been reading since I was even younger. I cannot thank you enough for your support by checking out my blog and writing, I appreciate it more than you can know.
